What if you could recognize the signs before your child hits their head, bites their hands, or crashes into things?
Instead of standing there terrified, you'd know exactly how to respond.
What if you understood why they scream, bolt, or claw at their skin when the lights, sounds, or sudden changes become too much?
You'd have tools to help their body feel safer.
What if you could finally untangle the patterns?
Why they scratch themselves when overwhelmed. Why transitions trigger explosive panic. Why certain textures or noises send them into shutdown. You'd know what actually helps in the moment.
You've Googled everything.
Why your child bites themself. Why they shut down during routine changes. But all the conflicting advice leaves you overwhelmed and unsure what actually matters right now. now.
Between clothing battles, public overloads, and the crash that comes after every storm, you're exhausted.
And you still feel guilty for not doing "enough," even when you're doing everything you can. everything you can.
You want to do more, but you’re drowning in daily meltdowns, head banging, and sensory triggers you can’t always predict.
You’re desperate for a calmer way forward and have no idea where to start.
Hi, I'm Nikita!
I’ve spent 10+ years working with neurodivergent kids of all ages, both in school-based and clinical settings. I’m a mom to a toddler who has sensory sensitivities, I’ve experienced sensory overload myself, and I have family members on the spectrum too. I've helped 100+ families navigate sensory meltdowns over the past decade. With my OT background and personal experience, I’ve learned what really works and what doesn’t, and I want to share those tips with you. I know it can feel overwhelming, but you’re not alone.
(Strategies I've used for 10+ years helping kids ages 3-12 and their families navigate meltdowns, now in one place!)
Practical strategies that help your child feel calmer and more regulated.
Tools that actually work in real life (not just on paper).
Skills to support connection and communication
Simple action steps so you never feel overwhelmed by too much information
Plus, printable resources you can use at home, school, or on the go!
And we don’t just cover one aspect of meltdowns, oh no, we dive into all three: sensory, behavioral, and social-emotional. You’ll walk away with a toolbox full of strategies and the confidence to handle those tough moments with calm and clarity.
Here you will learn to read body language, assess environments for triggers, and prioritize safety. You will use practical strategies and tools to manage meltdowns in the moment and incorporate emotional and behavioral skills to support your child effectively.
Here you will understand children’s behavior, developmental milestones, and how motivation and environment influence actions. Learn to apply strategies for behavior management, redirection, visual supports, and fostering internal motivation with emotional support.
Here you will learn what meltdowns are, who they can affect, and how they differ from tantrums, understand why they shouldn’t be seen as “bad behavior,” explore triggers, and recognize the progression and intensity of meltdowns using the “meltdown staircase.”
In fact, you can achieve all this and more. And you won't be navigating it all alone.

No, this is not occupational therapy. While the course is informed by OT principles, it's educational and supportive in nature, not a substitute for individualized therapy.
The course is designed with children roughly ages 3 to 12, as this is often when meltdowns can be most common. That said, many of the strategies are flexible and can be applied to any child if they experience similar challenges. The focus is always on developmental needs, not just chronological age.
Every child is unique, but the strategies in this course are based on proven approaches in sensory processing, behavior regulation, and emotional development. You’ll learn how to customize techniques to fit your child’s needs.
Yes! The course is grounded in a neurodiversity-affirming approach. We don't focus on "fixing" the child, but rather creating supportive environments and understanding each child's unique needs.
it’s already been a long day, and instead of dreading the moment your child’s emotions spill over, you feel prepared. You can spot the early signs, guide your child through the storm, and reconnect afterward without guilt or second-guessing. Your home feels calmer, your relationship feels stronger, and you finally have the tools and support you need. That’s what I want for you.
